I don't see AI as a tool.
I see it as a collaborator.
If AI is doing the laundry, I should be free to cook.
I care about ethics, accountability, and what gets lost when AI makes decisions that used to require human judgment. I research not just what AI does, but how humans think with it.
In practice, my work is shaped by four persistent drivers:
Who bears the cost when AI predictions fail, and how do we design for that responsibility?
How do we study AI systems that keep changing, and build methods that can keep up?
If AI can generate interfaces, what does a researcher actually own? And protect?
The real scarcity isn't data. It's knowing what to do with it: designing systems that preserve that distinction.
